Companionship

Sometimes clients do not need a lot of help with personal care but they would find companionship beneficial as loneliness can sometimes become overwhelming. The companionship of others can have a positive impact. Our existing clients have found that companionship services increases their confidence, general happiness and overall sense of well-being. Companionship is particularly important if individuals  are isolated or recently bereaved.

Our carefully selected healthcare assistants can bring a new interest to your days. Our arrangements for companionship are tailored to your needs, giving you maximum value for the support required.

A range of activities that you may benefit from includes:-

  • Shopping
  • Accompanying you to day centres or community activities
  • Accompanying you to hospital, doctors or dentist appointments
  • Doing jigsaw puzzles, games or other activities in your home
  • Reminiscence therapy
  • Baking
  • Theatre trips
  • Companionship if loved ones need to go out

Please ask if there is anything else you might like help with as we are always willing to adapt to meet individual needs to aid wellbeing.

We also offer monthly get togethers at our head office to help reduce loneliness within the community. These events are published on our quarterly newsletter.
